Empowering readers to push back on misinformation: An introduction to FactSparrow

Empowering readers to push back on misinformation: An introduction to FactSparrow is a livestream webinar on October 28, 2021, at 3:00 PM, with location and city listed as Location TBA. On social media, falsehoods often travel faster than journalists can debunk them; Repustar, a new organization devoted to equipping the public with tools to counter misinformation and ground more conversations in fact, offers FactSparrow, a new Twitter bot that allows anyone to introduce facts and news coverage into conversations and push back for high-quality information in the digital public square. Join an interview between INN’s Jonathan Kealing and Repustar’s Chandran Sankaran about the technology’s goals, early results, and opportunities for nonprofit news organizations; this webinar is sponsored by Repustar.
