What we collect

If you subscribe to the PSA Briefing, we store your email address and, if you choose them, your topic preferences. If you contact us, submit a news tip, or send in an event, we keep the details you include so our editors can follow up.

Like most sites, our hosting and analytics record technical details such as pages visited and approximate region. Event and page reach counts use a one-way hashed visitor identifier — we never store the raw value.

How we use it

Your email address is used only to send the newsletter you asked for and service messages about your subscription (such as your confirmation email). Topic preferences shape which stories lead your briefing.

We do not sell, rent, or share your email address or personal information with advertisers or other third parties. Subscriber data lives with our email provider, Beehiiv, solely so they can deliver the newsletter on our behalf.

Confirmation and unsubscribing

Every signup triggers a confirmation email so no one can subscribe your address but you. Every issue we send carries an unsubscribe link and a preferences link in the footer.

You can also manage your subscription at any time from our Email Preferences page. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately and you can resubscribe whenever you like.

What we never publish

Submitter names, email addresses, editor notes, and other private fields attached to news tips, comments, or contact messages are visible only to our editors. They are never published on the site or included in public feeds.

Data retention and your choices

We keep subscriber information for as long as your subscription is active. If you unsubscribe, your address is marked inactive and no further emails are sent.

To access, correct, or delete your personal information, contact us through the site and we will respond promptly.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and note the change in the newsletter. This policy applies to psychedelicamericas.org and the PSA Briefing.
