Build Your Board Part 2: Prospect\, Recruit and Onboard is a virtual fundraiser on April 4, 2023, at 1:00 PM, free and exclusive to INN members, including those outside leadership; content targets nonprofits under 5 years old with budgets under $1 million and fewer than 10 full-time staff. INN’s Sara Shahriari and board expert Jeanne Allen lead two interactive virtual meetings on board basics, governance and development for first boards or new phases; session 2 covers recruitment, onboarding, engagement and fundraising, with participants identifying two strategies to implement. Allen, a BoardSource Certified Governance Consultant and Duke University Nonprofit Management Certificate Program instructor, specializes in nonprofit strategy, innovation, leadership and board development; her 25-plus years across national, state and local nonprofits and community-college higher education emphasized capacity building, diversity, equity and inclusion.
