An outdoor cinema screen stands among cemetery trees and headstones, with picnic blankets and camping chairs facing it at dusk.

VCDC's October Gathering returns to Congressional Cemetery on October 26, 2023, for an outdoor, picnic-style fundraiser and films about Life & Death at 1801 E Street Southeast, Southeast Washington, Washington, District of Columbia 20003 United States; doors open at 6:30 PM, screening starts at 7:00 PM, and films end at 8:00 PM, with mingling continuing afterward. Connect and find inspiration with the DC film community; pizza and non-alcoholic drinks are provided, blankets and camping chairs are recommended, and leashed dogs are welcome. The VCDC team thanks attendees for supporting the Video Consortium and the DC film community and thanks host Congressional Cemetery for providing the space; the cemetery is fundraising for preservation, VC Gold members can sign in for a free ticket, and nonmembers are invited to join to attend events for free.
