Her Meltdown in Dixie follows an Orangeburg, SC ice cream shop owner’s attempt to remove a Confederate flag, resistance from the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and the ensuing fight exposing racism the flag upholds; it won Best Doc Short at Big Sky, AmDocs and Ashland, Jury Awards at SF DOC FEST and Provincetown, was selected at MountainFilm, AFI, New Orleans and others, and aired on World Channel’s America ReFramed and MSNBC. Watch the film before the workshop; VC Gold members can sign in for a free ticket, and nonmembers can join to attend events free!
