VC x BGDM Shorts Showcase: New York

VC x BGDM Shorts Showcase: New York takes place July 12, 2024, at 7:00 PM at 87 Lafayette Street, Manhattan, New York, New York 10013 United States; format: Professional Development. To give members’ short films the press, attention and distribution they deserve, Video Consortium and Brown Girls Doc Mafia partner for a week of celebration, conversation and community, with VC x BGDM-curated in-person screenings across NYC, LA, SF and Atlanta featuring in-person Q&As. This ticket is for New York, where filmmakers explore love and grief—often seen as two sides of the same coin—and holding complicated histories and feelings through archival, animation and miniature art: Birthing a Nation — Naz Habtezghi; You Can’t Shrink Love — Veena Rao; For A Better Life — Yasmin Mistry; invite a friend and get a ticket before they sell out.
