Behind The Lens: Celebrating Palestinian Stories is Video Consortium Doha’s first event of 2025, with TrueNorth Qatar and the VCUarts Qatar Palestinian Club, on January 22 at VCUarts Qatar, Education City, Doha (5:30–9pm; listing time: 9:30 AM). Films: ‘The Fight for the Keffiyeh II Made in Palestine’ (8 min), Mariam Dwedar; ‘Shahroor’ (15 min), Yafa Shahroor and Mo’men Ghanim; and ‘The Gaza Man’ (28 min), Tierney Bonini and Harriet Tatham—followed by a panel moderated by Mays El Shobasy with Belal Khaled, Yafa Shahroor, Mo’men Ghanim, Farah Fayed and Mohammed Hamada, celebrating Palestinian culture and connecting non-fiction filmmakers, enthusiasts and journalism professionals. Doors open 5:30pm; screenings and panel run 6–8pm, networking 8–9pm; admission is free with mandatory VC-platform ticket reservation and government-issued ID at entry; campus parking is available, with ECS North Parking near The Dome an additional option.
