A smartphone with blank message bubbles stands against an illustrated rural landscape of fields, homes, and winding roads.

Text RURAL update takes place April 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM as a livestream webinar with INN for Rural News Network members; location and city are TBA. The webinar will answer questions about Text RURAL, a free, low-lift, SMS-based news service powered by RNN that curates stories for rural residents based on where they live and the topics they care about, covering best practices for newsrooms already signed up and reasons to consider this audience-building tool. For questions about how your newsroom can use Text RURAL or suggestions for a test case to discuss during the webinar, contact INN’s Network Product Manager Andrew Haeg.
