INN + ProPublica: Opportunities with the Local Reporting Network is a professional development event with location and city TBA; ProPublica has announced 2026 LRN opportunities, with 15 new partnerships and special dates for INN members, through a program reimbursing newsrooms for one reporter’s salary for a year on a single investigative project. On January 22, 2026, at 2 p.m. ET, join an hour-long conversation with program head and ProPublica Assistant Managing Editor Sarah Blustain and a program alum to learn how the LRN works and ask questions. For individual proposal feedback from ProPublica editors on January 29, 1–3 p.m. ET, sign up for a 20-minute session (signup link coming soon), send an idea summary in advance—a couple of paragraphs is fine, one page maximum—and meet with an editor to discuss its fit for the LRN.
