STEAL MY WORKFLOW | Filming Hosted Video: Hacks for Elevating Your Look

STEAL MY WORKFLOW | Filming Hosted Video: Hacks for Elevating Your Look takes place June 25, 2026, at 4:00 PM (location and city TBA), as part of Video Consortium’s special six-part Professional Development workshop series on the ins and outs—and secrets—of producing excellent hosted short-form video journalism. Join a conversation on setting up and filming video with Ruben Rodriguez Perez, Senior Producer at National Geographic, who will share his workflow behind viral hosted video explainers: camera and phone settings, backgrounds and lighting, the pros and cons of filming on a DSLR versus a phone, host eye-level, getting good sound, and more.
