Calling Home, Across Geographies & Generations: London
What makes home "home" — even if you're far away from it? Join us on Saturday, October 24 at Curzon Bloomsbury for a special night of short documentaries exploring the themes of belonging, identity, and displacement. Doors open at 5:30pm for light bites and mingling. Stick around after the screening for a Q&A with the filmmakers, moderated by acclaimed journalist Suyin Haynes . Lineup: War & Honey, directed by Matthew Ritenour El Regreso, directed by Samantha Ramirez-Herrera Jacob’s House, directed by Lucas Kane Taking Back Our Homes, directed by Sarah Spiller & William Davies From Ukrainian soldiers struggling to reintegrate into society, to a DREAMER returning to Mexico and all she left behind, to an exploration of what defines a house, and locals pushing back against tourist rental properties, these stories offer a moving look at what it means to find, leave, and fight for home.
