An Evening at the Shulgin Farm
The State(s) of Psychedelic Storytelling: Past, Present, and Future
Thursday, November 5 · 5–9 PM PT · Lafayette, California
Some of the most influential writing in psychedelic history was done on one farm in Lafayette, California. Sasha and Ann Shulgin's work there shaped how generations understood these substances, and the people who use them.
The evening
- 5:00 PM: Doors open, check-in and informal networking
- 5:30 PM: Opening remarks
- 5:35 PM: Tour of the Shulgin Farm and lab, led by Lucid News co-founder Annie Oak Harrison
- 6:30 PM: Food and drinks
- 7:30 PM: Panel: The State(s) of Psychedelic Storytelling
- 8:15 PM: Networking, music and community
The panel
Annie Oak Harrison is co-founder of Lucid News and the Women's Visionary Council. She's a journalist who has covered science and politics for Wired News, Fast Company, Agence France-Presse and NPR member stations.
Mareesa Stertz is a filmmaker and co-founder of Lucid News and the Global Psychedelic Society. She's also the founding artist of The Sphinx Gate.
Lindsay Kent ("The Hallucinarrator") is a filmmaker, psychedelic historian and author of the new thriller My Twin the Murderer.
Getting there
The venue holds only about 50 people, and there are just 23 parking spots, so please plan to rideshare or carpool.
