Shulgin Foundation Beyond the Artist: A Creative Approach to Psychedelic Healing brings Alyssa B. Gursky, LPC, and Rebecca Wilkinson, LPC, LCPAT, ATR-BC, back to the Shulgin Foundation for an online professional development workshop on Thursday, November 19, 2026, from 12–1 pm PST. The presenters, co-founders of the Psychedelic Art Therapy Network, will explore the relationship between art, creativity and Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness (NOSC), offering a brief historical overview of creative expression in psychedelic research and healing, followed by simple hands-on exercises to capture and reflect on any phase of the NOSC healing journey. Creative practices will invite participants to notice, express and make meaning from experiences that can be difficult to put into words; no artistic skill or creative background is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to play and explore.
