Clinical trials are progressing, regulatory frameworks are expanding, and new therapeutic models are being tested in real-world settings. Australia is at the center of this shift. In 2020, Monash University established the country’s first dedicated psychedelic research lab. In 2023, the Therapeutic Goods Administration created a regulated pathway for authorized psychiatrists to prescribe MDMA and psilocybin, making Australia one of the first countries to formalize clinical access to psyched (3 sessions; first session listed.)
