Essential Skills for New Managers (March 2027) is a five-day, in-person professional development program for new managers ready to build practical skills and confidence to lead people and teams effectively. Through hands-on training, personalized feedback and peer learning, participants will practice delegation, coaching, difficult conversations and managing up. Apply by Dec. 7, 2026, for the program taking place March 1–5, 2027, at Poynter Institute’s campus in St. Petersburg, Florida.
