Five Social Media Myths - And some other helpful tips!

· 5:00 PM
Location TBA

You know social media can help you grow an audience and build your career, but it can be overwhelming – all the platforms, all the posting, and what are you even supposed to say? This workshop, specifically for filmmakers and video storytellers, busts some common social media myths while demystifying and streamlining the process. When there are so many things you could be doing on social media, learn how to cut through the overwhelm and identify what you should be doing for your film, and what you don’t need to worry about. Workshop presenter Dor Dotson is a social media consultant based in Kingston, New York. She runs Genuine Article Films, a boutique social media consultancy that works with filmmakers, movie theaters and distributors to connect with and grow their audience through organic social media strategy, execution and digital advertising. Some of her current and past clients include Netflix, IFC Center, Kino Lorber, FilmRise and films like Writing With Fire, Try Harder!, The Mole Agent, Bacurau, Hit The Road and over 50 more. ⭐ Do you have a VC Gold membership?
