VC Bay Area Wellness Month Hike! Join fellow VCers on May 16, 2026, at 12:30 PM for this Professional Development event: a one-hour hike from the heart of Glen Park to a somewhat hilly, scenic loop in gorgeous Glen Canyon Park, 70 Elk Street, San Francisco, California 94131 USA; all are welcome, and please share any accessibility or other requirements. Meet at 700 Chenery Street at Diamond, by the black awning left of the Glen Park Cafe, two blocks from Glen Park BART; street parking should also be available; bring water and a hat, wear sunblock if needed, and arrive early for coffee or breakfast at Glen Park’s many spots or stay for lunch nearby afterward (photo credits: James Gathier).
Touch Grass Picnic is a relaxed, low-pressure outdoor mental health picnic (Professional Development) on May 16, 2026, at 3:30 PM in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, Nueva York 11225, USA, inviting everyone to unwind, connect, recharge, step away from screens, and enjoy fresh air and good company. Expect informal mingling with fellow Video Consortium members, music throughout, and a few hours to sit, talk, or relax with no formal program or schedule; come as you are, bring one food or drink item to share, and a chair or blanket for seating. From Grand Army Plaza, enter through the main entrance at the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Arch, walk straight along East Drive, stay on the paved road as it curves gently right, and continue about 5–7 minutes to an open grassy area on your left; head slightly left off the path toward the lawn at (40.6708234, -73.9696600) and look for people gathered, music playing, or picnic setups.
Join us for the launch of the Video Consortium’s Mumbai Local Hub—an evening dedicated to non-fiction storytelling, community building, and conversations around the future of documentary in the city. The gathering will open with a curated selection of short documentary films that reflect Mumbai’s many textures—its people, spaces, and lived realities. Through these films, we hope to set the tone for what this hub stands for: diverse voices, grounded storytelling, and a shared engagement with the world around us.
